Objective Reliability Analysis
Objective Reliability Analysis
is a workshop for scientists, chemists, troubleshooters, and engineers
who need to predict product reliability, product life, shelf life, or related properties.
All the math
is done by software. Currently this class is only taught with JMP software.
Benefits
of the Workshop
-
You
will be able to measure product reliability -- a crucial ingredient of quality products.
-
You
will be able to predict product life.
-
You
will know how to demonstrate product reliability (e.g. 99% reliable with 95% confidence).
-
You
will develop greater pride and confidence in your work.
In
2 days you will learn:
-
How to
predict product reliability using normal, lognormal, and Weibull distributions.
-
How to
analyze censored data -- data without exact failure times.
-
How to
identify the correct distribution for your product.
-
How to
use temperature to accelerate testing to make predictions for use conditions.
-
How to
predict product life.
-
How to
analyze systems with multiple failure modes.
-
How to demostrate your product's reliability.
This
is What Happens During the Workshop:
-
You
will work in teams of two, collecting realistic data from a
computer lab in ten exercises. Each exercise provides practice
of the methods learned. The computer lab serves as substitute
labs and factories.
-
You
will learn to use the software during the workshop. You use
the software to design experiments and analyze your data. This
practice on real problems provides the confidence necessary
to use the methods immediately upon returning to work.
-
Everything
you learn is practiced during the workshop. Everything taught
is demonstrated by real examples. Questions are encouraged.
You won't have any homework.
